Hard choice.. but It's got to be the Cossie. I LOVE the M3, but the cossie is so much easier to get more power out of.
That said, I like the look and feel of the M3 better, but if I had to choose one of the,.. well.

If that M3 is the one I think it is, it's got a turbocharged straight six in it.
Edit: forgot to tell you that it's not a european straight six. (can't be sure if it IS the car I think it is though).

Because the 3 series is so prolific it's almost dull. M3 trim, or not.
The Sierra is just rare enough that it's interesting, and it looks easier to tune.

Why make me choose? Oh and where is the Mercedes 190e? I had to go with BMW because you can't beat those looks.

You mean rare enough in the States? During my time in Europe they were EVERYWHERE.

No contest. The important word in the Ford's name is Sierra, not Cosworth. It's still a junky eighties Ford saloon on the inside.

They are getting more rare here in europe as well, even here in Norway and Sweden (we probably have more cossies per inhabitant than any other country IN THE WOOORLD..) Lot's of the Cossies you see here are just replicas. But I agree with you, they are quite common.

Except one was a serious rally competitor, which as we all know is just better than touring car racing.

They were everywhere. Nowadays the E30 is so much more common than the Sierra, even though the Sierra outsold the E30 by a very wide margin and stayed in production a few years longer than the E30 sedan and coupe. The Sierra was the epitome of a disposable car, very unlike the E30.

The E30 is? Or the E30 M3 is? It's an important distinction methinks.
I don't mean to bash the Cossie either. I'm just not the biggest fan of 80's turbocharged cars. They tend to be.... problematic?

I voted M3 for the flared fenders.

Turbocharged problematic? Nah mate... just add more boost, solves everything. That's how we do it up north :)

Neither.
Okay, okay, I guess I'll go with the M3.

When I clicked on this I was all, "please tell me the second car will be a 190e. Please! Please!" Then I was all, "oh yeah... coupes. Real men drive badass sedans from the 80's!"
You know, because if you don't drive an 80's sedan, you couldnt possibly be able to procreate.

True, but they strip the interior out of rally cars...

Interiors are for philistines.
